Involved Schools - Services
SERVICES TO SCHOOLS
Schools, where will you find a parent who is not exposed to negative stories about under-achieving schools and ineffective teachers? Those types of stories are readily available to parents and access to these types of stories is simplified by technological advances within our society.
The Bigger dilemma is "Where Will Parents Search For Stories About "Involved Schools" and Great Teachers, who go the extra mile, to educate our students and also welcome "INVOLVED PARENTS"?
Let ALLPARENTSONDECK, simplify your efforts to promote and share information with volunteers/parents in our
ALLPARENTSONDECK Directory with your designation as an "INVOLVED SCHOOLS".
ARE YOU AN INVOLVED SCHOOLS?
ALLPARENTSONDECK, provides a designation of INVOLVED SCHOOLS to every School that:
1). Recognizes - Parents For Their Role in The 3-Way Partnership that helps Students Achieve Academic Success.
2). Celebrates - National Parental Involvement Day and National Education Week in November, 2013
3) Recognizes, - Parents For Their Levels of Positive Parental Involvement and Volunteer Efforts.
4). Advertises Their Volunteer Opportunities in the ALLPARENTSONDECK - DIRECTORY.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THIS DESIGNATION FOR YOUR SCHOOL?
- Broadens your efforts to be recognized for each volunteer event for the 2013-2014 School year.
- "Involved Parents" share positive information about "Involved Schools" that encourages parental involvement.
- increases in the numbers of parents who learn more about your teachers and your school's positive attributes.

- Your Designation as an "INVOLVED SCHOOL" validates your school's commitment to encourage and welcome the participation of parents.
OUR CURRENT ADVOCACY EFFORTS (FOR WISCONSIN SCHOOLS - ONLY)
CONCERN#1
Currently, Wisconsin Schools, are not mandated to annually recognize "National Parental Involvement Day and National Education Week.
OVERVIEW:
Parents, Are The Driving Force Behind Every Student's Ability To Achieve Academic Success (S.Edwards-Billings,2003).
But, there are not consistent efforts across Wisconsin school districts that are designed to recognize parents for their positive levels of parental involvement. Many schools however, receive taxpayer funds and/or federal funds in the form of Title 1 monies to encourage the participation of parents, whose students attend Title 1 Schools throughout the school year. Many of those parents, have indicated their inability for one reason of another, to participate in their student's academic journey. The usage of federal funds continues to be allocated to these schools with minimal efforts to recognize the ongoing efforts of "INVOLVED PARENTS" who work tirelessly to navigate their student's onto roads that lead to academic success.
The emphasis within our school districts, continues to be directed towards Parents, who are not involved, and not to those parents who are actively involved in their student's school and academic journey.
CONCERN#2
Parents, with positive levels of parental involvement are seldom recognized for their commitment to their student's academic journey throughout the school year.
PROPOSED SOLUTION:
ALLPARENTSONDECK, is advocating for the creation of a bill within the State of Wisconsin Assembly and House, that will encourage schools to annually recognize "National Parental Involvement Day" and "National Education Week".
Representatives of ALLPARENTSONDECK, met with - State Senator Fred Risser on January 11 to voice our concerns about the lack of legislation that recognizes parents for their positive levels of parental involvement. (Schools, currently use undisclosed amounts of taxpayer funds to encourage the involvement levels of parents, who are not able or willing (for whatever reason) to get involved in their student's academic journey.) We are asking for legislation that will acknowledge the positive behaviors of our parents, in hopes of encouraging other parents to "Get Involved".
